Aveda:
Has a skin care line to target every skin type, along with a wide range of daily, weekly, and monthly specialty care. I have many masks and facial products from Aveda and have only wonderful things to say about them. I definitely like how their packaging is NOT gender specific so gentlemen are comfortable using it as well. Products are available in Aveda product stores and salons as well as the internet.
Pangea Organics:
Every product explains what natural ingredients make up the product and what it does. Very interesting and helpful! I am currently using some of these products and have absolutely loved them! I have not found a store that sells this line, but it is available via internet ordering.

Arbonne:
Products range from teen focused skin care to the very mature. Generally you must order through a consultant with this line as it is not sold in stores, (contact me if you would like to get in touch with a consultant) or you may order via internet.
Jafra:
Carries a wide range of facial products targeting every skin type from baby to teen to mature. I have and do personally use the Royal Jelly products from this line and have found instant benefits from it! love it! This line, as well, is generally ordered through a consultant as it is not sold in stores (contact me if you would like to get in touch with a consultant) although you can order via internet.
Well, there is some information for you all to munch on for the week!! As i said in the beginning, my goal is to educate on matters of the body in a relatable and understandable way, so as i break down information i will also give more references to check out and easy step lists to follow: )

I like the Arbonne products too! I use them all the time. Thanks for doing this series about skin care. It’s very important to take good care of your face, with how much dirt and oil is collected and covered with makeup all day.

Most of these sound expensive, seeing as you have to order them through a consultant. Is there anything cheap and effective?

kay– as a cost conscious person myself, i can say that if you are looking for a basic system of cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, you are looking at a cost (with any brand, esp. ones that are actually good for your skin) ranging from $60 to $100 dollars….this could possibly include an eye cream or perhaps a separate night cream.
Although the product lines i recommended may Sound expensive, they really are not in retrospect to other lines. Also, the benefit of ordering through a consultant is that the products are generally a little less expensive as you are practically ordering straight from the mother store instead of having to pay the markup costs of Departments stores. There is always an alternative such as researching and making your own, i’m going to be doing a post about home remedies and such here in a couple weeks so check back if you haven’t discovered something by then ok!!!

Megan! so…..Mary Kay!
I wouldn’t say that this product line is “not effective”. i have heard many say they love it and have been using it for years! I just didn’t put it on the list of products that I recommend as it is not necessarily a “naturally based” product line.
basically i just tell people what i know about ingredients and products, then just let them decide that if whatever it is is working for them, then stay with it.

Just a question…I have a combo of dry/oily skin with frequent breakouts and old blemishes. I also tend to have larger pores. I am trying to find a facial care regimen that will work for me. Which of these 4 products would you recommend the most for my skin type?

AVON face wash works great! I have tried many brands, but AVON is the only thing that has worked for me.

Simone and Kay I have the same type of skin, it can be such a pain, I fix the oil problem and then its flaky or both.
