Wow, you look stunning, and I love the raincoat.

Christa–
You look absolutely gorgeous!!! I can see the joy radiating deep from within you and that’s truly beautiful.
Inside and out.

WOW! You look incredibly peaceful and calm to be THAT close to a moving train. I think I’d freak. I think it’s awesome that you got to have your stuff modeled. Did you design your dress?
Cynthia did a good job on the earrings. I’m a jewelry designer, too. So is my best friend. We do a lot of custom work. And Maresah did good on the make- up as well.

Christa, your dress is so beautiful, I think the first picture is my favorite! And Maresah, her makeup is stunning!

Maresah is definitely making a name for herself here in Portland, she has worked with several acclaimed designers, including SarahSeven (who debuted in New York just a few days back).

You look beautiful in these pictures! What a wonderful opportunity for you, and I am already coveting that raincoat! Will we be able to buy it? (-:
Good job to you as well as Maresah!

Oh, Christa! What can I say…You look absolutely stunning in your gown! The first picture is definitely my fave (the contrasting effects totally make it); the raincoat is oh so adorable too (I do hope that it is available for purchase…hint, hint)!

Congratulations! You must have been excited! What a wonderful step forward in your career and for the future of modest modern clothing. I loved the dress you designed for the event as well.

Love it! Interesting to see how classic and elegant shows up the “teeny-bopper” style so many girls choose.

The coat will be part of our Spring line with a few small adjustments. The frog clasps will be replaced with large buttons for better durability/functionality.
But this coat- I’m warning you, is not cheap. To give you a price comparison, Anne Bocci of Anne Bocci’s boutique here in Portland is selling it at $575.
Don’t worry, it won’t be that much. lol.

your dress is stunning! Where did you find it, I’d love to know! Also I cannot wait for the raincoat to come out in the spring. I live in a rainy town and it’d come in handy!

Hey Christa!
I like to dink around with drawing clothing designs but I”m thinking it takes a lot of work or connections to actually make them into real live clothes… :):)
You looked phenomenal. So how does that work–do you just have “friends in high places” : ) to actually make clothes for you? And then you sell them to other companies before they’re on Christa Taylor? Just curious!
October 12th, 2009 at 12:50 pm
Thanks Kat,
Friends in high places? lol. Hardly. We work with local manufacturers to produce the clothes. Typically the styles are on Christa-Taylor before they are sold in boutiques.
Drawing is the fun part, getting it made is a ton of work. lol.

Absolutely beautiful! Your hair, makeup, and dress are stunning! Love the rain coat! Congratulations!
P.S. Totally nothing to do with this entry, but I just had to let you know about this. I subscribe to the crochet today magazine, and a model in the Nov/Dec issue has on a darling dress (it isn’t crocheted, she is modeling other things). Anyway, the dress looks “christ-taylorish” it just needs to be made more modest. I saw it and wanted it! Here’s the url if you are interested in taking a peak! http://www.crochettoday.com/issues/novdec-09
