ok im in awe of this one…amazing entries. LOVE the yellow in this one…and the green. the dresses are all so amazing!! yes this is my vote. i LOVE everything about it!
I so totally vote for this one! It’s feminine, cute and modest! I love it! And the colors are awesome! I would definitely pick this dress over jeans any day of the week (especially in the Spring, Summer and Fall…Winter not so much because it would be a bit cold).
Wow! love this one! I’m voting for it! Love the design, and just everything… not sure if I’d like it in those colors though.. :-/ but yeah, just a thought.. great dress!
I vote for the Sea Glass Dress!
I’ve got to be honest and say that I’m not a fan of this color combination, but I LOVE the shape of the dress…the princess seams and the clearly defined waist with the buttons would be SO slimming and flattering. I have to agree with the others that richer colors would suit this dress well. This would be a go-to dress for me. I would pay up to about $65 for this dress if the finished product were as appealing to me as the sketch.
Looking forward to seeing who wins!
I vote for the Sea Glass Dress! This dress has class… It would be good however to offer it in a few different color combinations as this particular color doesn’t look good on everyone. I definitely agree that a more dramatic yellow might do the trick.
I definitely vote for the Sea Glass dress! Love the colors, the cut, everything I would definitely choose this over jeans, and I’m a jeans kind of girl!
I vote for the sea glass. I think the colors are beautiful please don’t change them not every color combination can flatter everyone! It makes me think of the fifties but the color combo is what makes it different. The shape is very pretty and flattering, and I love those buttons at the waist. I would choose this over jeans and would pay $50 for it.
Great job Joanna! You have a lot of talent!
I hope you win
p.s. Guys that doesn’t really look like yellow to me I would describe that as a sandy color but that’s just how I see it…
I vote for the Sea Glass. I’m not so sure about the colors, but I think if they were rich enough, I would probably be okay. I like the idea of the yellow, but I think it’d be great in a more gold/bronzed yellow. I think the green might need more blue… or something. Not sure. But I can’t really “see” it right now. I would definitely wear this dress over jeans, and depending on how versatile it turns out to be, I would probably pay up $50-55. But not really more in this economy…
Good job, though; even without the color, it makes me feel like I’m at the beach. I love it.
I vote for the sea glass. Love the design of the dress. I think it’s the one that would best flatter me too. However, not really liking the colors that much.. but, that’s just my opinion. sure it would look beautiful in whatever colors! I’d probably pay anywhere from $40-$50 for it
Oh, I adore it!!! This one gets my vote hands down. I would absolutely buy this…I love the buttons at the waistline! I’m not so sure about the flower in the corner, but it’s overall gorgeous nonetheless! Love the color and style. Definitely worth $40-$50!
~Miss S.
My vote is for the Sea Glass as well. I love the teal–but agree with the other commenters that a mustard or goldenrod would look better than the current cream shade. I don’t know if I could muster the guts to wear this dress while running errands (maybe if it were dressed down with jeans underneath or something)–but I would definitely wear this dress to parties, etc. I also love the defined waist. =)
I vote for the Sea Glass Dress. I love the princess seams, as well as the full skirt. I think it would be cute in a soft pink, navy blue or even black (as an evening dress). A cotton would be nice for everyday wear. Not so crazy about the yellow and green color that is chosen. I would buy this dress for somewhere around the $55 mark.
I love this dress. Totally get’s my vote. I would have to make myself not wear it everyday. It’s so simple but elegant but something that I can’t find at any store anywhere.
I’m not as excited about the colors for it. I’d choose something brighter. Red, purple, dark blue….maybe. But I think a dark bright red is a MUST for this dress Or black would be nice too. It would look adorable with cute heels.
I vote for the Sea Glass!!! I absolutely love it, cute, flattering, and fresh! A perfect Spring and Summer dress! I LOVE the colors, and I think that the flower just makes the whole dress pop! The buttons add such a nautical feel, something that I really love! I would so choose this dress above jeans, and would pay $50 and up for it! Just lovely!!!!
~Bethany
I vote for the Sea Glass dress because I love the colors and the shape. The buttons and the little flower are adorable and are good touches. I wouldn’t pay more than $50-60 for it.
I vote for the Sea Glass dress. I think this dress is very cute and would be the most flattering for me. I like the bright, yet calming, colors! Not sure if this would be an everyday dress for me - I wish I dressed this nice everyday! I think around $60 would be a very fair price for the Sea Glass dress.
I think this dress is just delightful! It has a sporty, yet sophisticated flare
that would allow one to wear it just about anywhere. I definitely vote for
Sea Glass. I love it!
~Kristina
I vote for the Sea Glass because the exquisite detailing would make it worth the $$, I would never spend $50 on a casual dress to just wear around town. For $50+ I want something with class.
My vote is for the Sea Glass!!! Joanna, you’ve surpassed all my high expectations with this beautiful design! It is very trimming and feminine and I love the way you defined the bust and waistline! It is a refreshing sleeveless fashion for spring. I also really like the breezy fullness of the skirt along with the perfect length spring through summertime. This pattern has a 40’s, 50’s charm but the fresh and crisp colors bring it up-to-date. I think this pattern could be dressed up or dressed down which is an added plus! What really sold me on this design was the waist piece with the buttons! I LOVE it!!! I’m big on defining the feminine waistline so this really stood out with me. Great job Joanna!
I would definitely not wear this on a normal day, though. Maybe on a very hot summer day, but this really strikes me more as a party dress.
I wouldn’t spend over $50 on it (I don’t on any item of apparel, including shoes)
Depending on where I was going, I would choose this over jeans. I really wouldn’t just wear it any day though, unless it was a casual-like cotton material.
It definitely would flatter my figure, which is why I picked this one.
Definitely not good colors for me though. I think having one in blue and one in green would be good though!
The Sea Glass dress is absolutely adorable! I love the simple yet stunning design … and would definitely purchase this for myself and my daughter It is such a beautiful dress that you could wear for casual outings or to an event such as a wedding during the spring & summer months. My vote is definitely for the Sea Glass!
I Love the Sea Glass dress. The flower and the buttons make it!! I probably wouldn’t wear this to do errands in, but don’t think I would wear any dress to run errands in. I would pick this over jeans if they were side by side to go out and about. I would however buy it in a different color. I’m not too fond of a paler green on me. I would pay around $50 dollars for this dress. Great job! I LOVE it!
I vote for the Sea Glass! I love it! It is super cute, feminine, and this shape would be the most flattering for me. =) I also love the colors! I would pay up to about $30 for it. LOVE it!
–Rebecca–
I suggest that the hem dips slightly lower. I would hope that the hem would be at least below the knee. I suggest a darker, more Navy-Blue color, perhaps. =) (I don’t really like the color suggestions- I’m thinking more of a stylish navy-nurse or lady cadet- something that more strongly suggests the sea. I’d also say maybe get rid of the flower on the blouse portion of the dress.
35$ or so would probably be the price range most young women in college would be willing to pay.
I SO vote for the sea glass! I love the creativity….it’s unique! With the other dresses I feel like I could just go to a department store and buy them. But this one is different! I love it!!!
I vote for the sea glass because i think it’s–well–because i think it’s the best! I love the buttons in the front and the fullness of the skirt. I’m pretty cheap when it comes to clothing. I usually only like to pay about $30 for a dress, but i would definitely be willing to pay $40-$50 for this one! It’s so pretty and creative! I love the sea glass greany-blue color, but i would suggest having another darker color choice also. Beautiful!
I live by the ocean, and just the word sea glass says beauty to me. I really like this dress…especially where the buttons are placed, the waist is more defined and the flare at the bottom of the dress seems to be just the right fullness. It is classic and I can visulize this dress being worn by women of different ages.
I like Sea of Glass’ entry the best of all five. It’s streamlined, but not boring, with beautiful detailing. Plus, the color suggestions go well with the design.
I am voting for SEA GLASS because i love the flair of the skirt and the modest waistline..I think just about anyone could get away with wearing this dress.Ladies of any size would benefit byadding this dress to their wardrobe. One more thing..The buttons are an added delight..Buttons are back in and set this dress off perfectly.
I definetly vote for this one! It would be a little nicer though, if it was just a tad bit longer. This dress would definetly win over jeans. I can’t wait to see who wins! The colors are really nice too…..I think if you did a bright yellow, it would make it look like a flower garden instead of the sea. I like the sea colors much better:)
I LOVE this dress!!! I totally vote for it!!
P.S. I completely agree with what Ashlei said!
Yay! Hope the Nautical Spring Sea Glass dress is victorious!
I vote for Sea Glass! I love the aqua and ivory colors, but maybe do one other combo for people on whom this wouldn’t be flattering. I’d also like it a little bit longer, my favorite length is just below the knee cap. Still, it’s so elegant!
The Sea Glass is such a beautiful, whimsical dress and definitely has my vote. I’m not sure why so many people are complaining about the color combination since the sandy beige and blue-green colors seem to be the name inspiration for this dress. One suggestion I have is to not make the skirt too full so that the dress can serve as an everyday dress appropriate for work, school, and church. Don’t get me wrong, I love the construction of this dress but I have a LBD that has a similar silhouette that I only wear for parties because the skirt is so full. Also, may I suggest that you make the flower at the shoulder removable so that the dress is easier to accessorize with neclaces, a cardigan, etc. I would easily lay down $50-60 for this dress. Wonderful design Joanna.
I absolutely adore this dress!!! The Sea Glass definately has my vote. All the details are competely perfect. Though I do think that it would benefit from more color choices. I think 45-50 is a good price for a dress this unique.
I love the Sea Glass dress it is beautiful, and totally perfect for wearing on a “normal day”, but also for an evening out. I would easily pay 50-60$ for this dress.I’d totally choose the dress over jeans, but I’m part biased, since I like dresses better than jeans. It seems like the type of dress that would look cute over jeans as well though. I have an hourglass, so yes, it would be flattering to my shape. I think maybe a more dramatic yellow, or a silver might look better with the blue though. It’s a gorgeous dress!
I vote for the Sea Glass dress. I absolutely love the cut and detail on the waist. The flower on the shoulder could be left off and it would still look great. I would not pay more than $45 for this dress. The color is good, but this dress would be adorable in red. I would definitely choose it over jeans, but it is also versatile in that it can be worn to church or to a dinner. Beautiful dress, Joanna!
I vote for the Sea Glass. I love dresses with full skirts! I’m always frustrated by the difficulty in finding something with swing and fullness these days. I tend to prefer gored over gathered, because a lot of gathering at the waist does not look too well on my figure, but I love this silhouette. I would pick different colors, because green has to be just exactly the right shade for me to like it, and this shade isn’t it.
I vote for the Sea Glass. The unique details around the waist and on the bodice are adorable, and I love the combination of clean lines and feminine flare.
I *love* the “Sea-Glass” dress! You did such an excellent job of designing the dress, Joanna! I think that the white/off-white cloth swatch could be a tad darker; other than that, the dress is flawless!

I *love* the “Sea-Glass” dress! You did such an excellent job of designing the dress, Joanna! I think that the white/off-white cloth swatch could be a tad darker; other than that, the dress is flawless!
