Summer Makeup look #2: Smokey eye
It’s the classic evening look depth in the eyes, highlighting the brow. Created originally by makeup genius Bobby Brown the dark eye is typically paired with a soft or nude lip. It can be done in a heavier all-out glamorous feel, or toned down for a more hazy summer vibe.
Do: Try it in a variety of colors. This look is gorgeous in plum, or the universally flattering coppers/golds. I’ve even tried it in green to bring out my eyes.
How to:
1. Prep the skin with moisturizer, blot off excess with a tissue.
2.Groom your brows. Define and brush into place
3. Apply concealer on needed red spots and then foundation (to match skin tone) blending outward. Pay special attention to the under-eye area.
4. Dab liquid blush onto the face, cheekbones, temples, and chin. blended with fingertips.
5. Line the inner rims of the eyes with basic black eye pencil, and smudge into the lashline using a small shadow brush aor sponge tip applicator. ( you can use a brown eye pencil or even green, depending on your desired look)
6. Use a soft dark brown (or color of choice) powder eyeshadow to further “smoke up” the eyelid, using a medium brush. Make sure to also apply lightly under the eye and blend away any noticeable edges. The key to the smokey eye is to punch in the dark brown shadow in the crease of your eye. Can’t find your crease? With your eye open, brush the shadow from the center pupil to the outer corner and blend.
7. Lashes are curled with an eyelash curler. (makes a world of difference)
8. Black mascara is used to coat top and bottom lashes.
9. the the lips are lined with a light flesh pencil and fillled in, finishing off with a creme lip gloss.
10. Finally the the finishing touch of a light dusting of soft pink powder blush over the top of the liquid blush with a large blush brush adds the illusion of depth.

Can you recommend an eyelash curler? A fairly inexpensive one.
Thanks!
