The slimming Scarf
Scarves really can lengthen and slim the body by one of two ways- 1) Camouflaging the tummy or 2) adding length by one continuous line down the body. Not to mention the warm and cozy factor.
Do:
-choose a color that is flattering to your skin tone
-play with patterns, push your comfort zone by adding a patterned scarf with your patterned shirt or skirt
-try wearing or knotting it in different ways. Experiment!

As much as I like this look, there is a little stubborn streak in me that doesn’t want to wear what everyone else is wearing.
Any suggestions for pulling off this look in a more unique/personalized way?

When will you be coming out with your winter line Christa?

Hey Christa… I’m wondering if maybe you could do a post for finding the right glasses. It’s hard to tell what’s right without some guidance. Thanks!!

What types of scarves are ok for petite people like me? I’m 5′ 2″ and very slender. I like scarves but don’t want to look overwhelmed or unbalanced, etc.

I totally agree with you, Christa. The scarf has become my new fashion accessory since I feel like it really does help hide my overly-protruding belly. Or at least it gives me the illusion that it’s hidden

Christa, I have so enjoyed reading your blog today! I found you through a series of links, the most recent being an interview you did with Miss Jocelyn! I love reading all of your fashion tips!
I second a previous commenter; I wear glasses and contacts, and had such a hard time finding “stylish” glasses; having guidance really helps when you’re picking out frames!
Blessings,
Jasmine

As a glasses wearer myself, I would happy to do a post on the topic.
Glasses can be a very chic, I love wearing them.

Do some people wear glasses just because they are stylish? I’ve heard of that but wondered how they pulled it off. Do you just wear them when clear lenses, or is the whole thing silly?

P.S. I am aware that some people need glasses to enhance their sight
But I am refering to those who don’t.

Yes, I have known a few individuals who have purchased clear lense glasses for fashion use only.
J Crew is selling a pair of clear lenses for well over $200

I wear glasses for practical purposes and would love to know how to chose the right kind for my face. Specifically, what kind should be worn by people with large, slightly hawk-ish noses that don’t really need to emphasise that part of their face. Purely hypothetical to be sure.
I find it interesting that people would wear glasses for fashion purposes. I wonder if any of that has to do with Sarah Palin…

I have a friend that wears glasses for fashion purposes and looks too cute in them! Though they probably aren’t as high quality as the ones I see at J.Crew and other places, she got hers from Claire’s or Icing, and I can’t quite tell the difference.
